What I go for school for???
Nov. 24th, 2004 10:03 amGood things about working at Busted last night:-
1. The stage. It was all metal and had lots of stairs and slopey bits and platforms which raised up through trapdoors and platforms which were winched down from the ceiling and lots of FIRE and huge sparkly fireworks. Kiss could have played on that stage and it would have looked right.
2. Getting paid. Woo!
3. Rolling round on the floor laughing at support band 'V' who kept tripping over each other and were wearing light grey hooded tops with their names written across the front in huge UV grafitti style lettering. Hahaha. Losers.
4. Standing behind the first band with
fading_star13 and Mao while they were signing autographs at the back of the CIA, asking each other loudly who they were and talking at high volume about how we didn't recognise them and had never heard of them. I still haven't got a clue who they were.
5. Noticing that the entire audience was made up of boys under 10 in ikkle tiny blazers (aaawwwww!), pre-teen girls and Mums (as well as four gay lads who could have been a tribute band of some sort).
Bad things about working at Busted last night:-
1. I had to work at Busted last night.
2. The hard sell. They had a video looped on the big screens between bands advertising boy band and David Beckham CDs, DVDs and merchandise and Busted even stoppped for 10 minutes in the middle of their set so they could show a 10 minute advert for some programme on MTV. It was like brainwashing. Which reminds me - I have to go and buy that David Bekham DVD today.
3. The volume. These guys were louder than Slayer. I went deaf in one ear. I think they play that loud to drown out all the screaming (or the booing).
4. Having to wear a Busted T-shirt for 5 hours. Luckily there are no photos. Oh, the shame. The humiliation!
5. Working at Busted again tonight. And it's going to be *soooooo* much more fun the second time around.
