Punmungous: part the second

Ok, so it turns out that loads of hairdressers have named their shops using really crap puns. What's up with that? Perhaps people who are good at cutting hair are gentically unfunny. Does anyone know a witty hairdresser? I know some cool ones but none of them are any good at telling jokes.

What a curious coincidence. :-)

These days I have a buzzcut (as [livejournal.com profile] ewx knows) which can safely be administered in the home...

I rather liked the computer shop called 'Chips with everything'.

There's a fish & Chip shop in cornwall called "The Frying Dutchman" - 'cept it was owned by a German.

My commute used to take me past a hairdresser named It Will Grow Back.

I've seen a lot, but can't remember most of them anymore. I do, however, love 'Brighton Wok', 'The Frying Scotsman' and MacBet [latter two in Edinburgh] and the non-punning [I assume], but unfortunately named 'Skinner & Sons Funeral Parlour] that I go past every day & 'MacBeth & Sons Family Butchers' which we saw on holiday and I am not sure is a pun or not [would be fantastic if it was though!]

Curl Up & Dye seems quite common- I've seen one here too.

Oh and a florist called 'the 11th Flower'. :)

I forget where I saw 'The Mane Event'.

The one I go to is called 'Mayfair hair stylists' which someone at work thought was a euphemism for some sort of massage parlour!!

I can't remember any punny names atm, but I think there ought to be one called "Hair today, gone tomorrow"

Someone once told me their hairdressers were called "Hair review", but I misheard them and though they said "Hairy view" - would have been a better name, I think.

In Sheffield, within a mile of my house we have "www.in_the_net.cod" a fish shop, also "Batter-sey Cod's Home" (eerrrm).

My hair dresser is Gary at 319 Hair on Glossop Road. He is such a nice guy and a great hairdresser that I wanted to give him some free advertising here. :-)
